Jacobs started studying acting at the age of 8 and attended acting classes on Saturdays at the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up.She participated in The Pittsburgh Public Theater where she had a regular place in the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest leading her to be cast in the role of Titania in its production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
